Pareve and Dairy Pots

I would like to use a dairy pot to heat water in so I can make a water bath for another metal container (metal bowl of the kitchen aid). meaning I will not even have the kitchen aid bowl touching the water in the pot it is only to create steam for dissolving the sugar inside the kitchen aid bowl. The water will not touch the kitchen aid bowl it will only rest on the side of the pot and only the outside of the kitchen aid bowl will touch the pot. Is this permissible and will the kitchen aid bowl remain parve?

Answer:

As long as the dairy pot has not been used for dairy in 24 hours and is clean, this would be permissible, and the kitchen aid bowl will remain pareve.
